A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Luanda, Toty S'Amed is one of the leading cult artists of new Angolan music. In 2016 he recorded and released "Ingombota", co-produced by Kalaf Epalanga. This EP brings together some classics of the Angolan songbook in an intimate register, with guitar and voice, where influences from Bonga to Djavan shine through. A musical partner of artists such as Aline Frazão and José Eduardo Agualusa, he has also signed compositions for Dino d'Santiago, Cristina Branco and recorded the duet "Brincar de Casamento" (2017) with Sara Tavares. In 2019 he released the single "Maldita", a song that breathes Luanda and Rio de Janeiro and features Domenico Lancellotti on drums.
