The precarity of housing has many faces. Julia is one of them. After her parents died, she was evicted from the home where she had lived for half a century – the rent didn't come to 30 euros, but the ceiling was caving in. She fought against the eviction in court for six years. She lost this year, before reaching her turn for the right to a council house. “It's not for a lack of fighting,” waiting and insisting that she can't access the right to proper housing. Why is it so?

Aitor Varea Oro: Architect, coordinator of the Habitar Porto programme.
Júlia Gomes: Ex-public servant, evictee from Vila Nova de Gaia.
Rita Silva: Community Development Technician; Member of Bloco de Esquerda and HABITA – Colectivo pelo Direito à Habitação e à Cidade
