Multimedia artist Miguel Faro proposed a cross exploration of personal and collective universes through the relationships established with some objects and their image. The workshop participants chose and photographed objects from their domestic sphere that subsequently occupied the urban public space through their projection in selected spaces of Quinta do Loureiro. In this process, expression was promoted through tools and concepts of contemporary creation such as performance, installation, framing, composition and symbolism.

Bio

Miguel Faro, born in Viseu, works and lives in Lisbon, Portugal. He regularly works with video, photography and installation, operating mostly with matters of identity. The body, its image and the relation between them are recurring themes of his work. More recently he has worked in the project Djzebenzas, following a Lisbon skateboarding community. This project gave rise to works such as the short film "Downhill", awarded by Doclisboa with the prize for best short film transversal to Competitions and Risks.
