Apollo is a Greek god's name – one of the most perfect there could be: god of the sun, light, knowledge, music, poetry and dance. The ambition of Sandro Andrade, rapper who grew up in Queluz but who has been living in England for a number of years, led him to adopt that artistic name: Apollo G. He could have been a footballer (seriously), but music proved stronger. Since 2012 he began rhyming with friends GhettoSupastars. His first solo record arrived in 2016, with the title “Robin Hood”, and the following year he released the EP “Success After Struggle”. Since then, Apollo G has released several singles that show the versatility of his Afrotrap, written in Creole, Portuguese and English, speaking of the struggles of his life between London and Queluz, and with heavyweight collaborations like Bispo and Landim in “Bem di Baixo”.
