Yen Sung was one of the first women DJs in Portugal. Back in the early '90s, when DJing was just starting in the country, she was already showing her love for music and making people dance from the booth of Lisbon's then hottest club, Frágil, breaking down barriers and paving the way for other women to do the same. Since then, her love for sharing music with other people has only grown stronger but in the process of becoming a reference of elegance and sophistication, Yen Sung still found the time and the inspiration to be a part of the first line-up of Portuguese band Da Weasel, have a brief residency at the legendary Berlin club WMF, host several radio shows in Portugal, release compilation albums and produce in her own name (including original tracks such as “Do You”, released on Atlantic Jaxx, but also an Ennio Morricone mix requested by the German label Compost!), and a weekly residency at Goa parties in Madrid. She has been a resident DJ at Lisbon's Lux, consensually one of the world's greatest clubs, from its very opening in 1998, while also playing around the world. An eclectic taste and a refined sense of style, along with a keen ability to read the dance floor, enable her to play classics all night long while maintaining a leitmotif that intertwines all differences in the name of partying.
